Christmas in Connecticut

I'm back from my blogging hiatus. I decided to give myself a break between Christmas and New Years, but the break lasted a little longer than planned. So, first things first, I hope you all had a fantastic holiday filled with good food, family, and lots of laughs and happy New Year! I spent the holiday week in Connecticut with my family and am now back in Florida to finish my last semester of graduate school. That sentence is terrifying. Here are a few of my favorite Christmas pictures! Also, I'm back to my normal blogging schedule now— so don't forget to check back!

Fireside

Connecticut has completely transformed me into the Christmas spirit. I think the cooler temps help. Around the holidays, I love to wear long sleeved dresses, bundle up near the fire, and watch my favorite holiday movies. Have you finished all of your Christmas shopping? I am finally done!

Office Holiday Party

Sequin Romper $35.40

Office holiday parties can be tough to dress for, because we want to showcase our personal style, yet we have to be cautious, since we are around our co-workers and bosses. So, what do we do? Easy. Pair funkier pieces (like a printed skirt), with a more tailored piece (like a blazer) to balance out the outfit. This still showcases your individual style, but the tailored piece helps it be a little more conservative. Don't you hate that word? Here are a few office appropriate ensembles that are stylish, sophisticated, and don't break the bank!

Weekend Wrap up

The coolest Santa's I've ever seen. They're so chill.

Thanksgiving weekend seemed like it came and went, and now it feels like the world is completely engrossed in the Christmas spirit (which is fine by me!). I spent the weekend with my family which equated to relaxing by the pool, boating, paddle boarding, and ending the weekend celebrating my nephew's birthday at one of my favorite restaurants. This year has flown by, and I can't believe Christmas is right around the corner! How was your holiday weekend? Or better yet, are you hitting up any of the Cyber Monday deals? Spill.
