Black & White

Eileen Fisher Pants (Similar), Vince Tee, Rebecca Minkoff Bag, House of Harlow Necklace

If you were to peek inside my closet, the majority of the items hanging are black, white, or some other neutral like cream or gray. How New York of me, right? Black and white is such an effortless color combination and can even make a ordinary tee look pulled together to form this sleek, classic outfit.

Chocolate Chip Cookies!

I have such a sweet tooth; it's terrible. It's definitely my downfall. I can try really hard to eat healthy all day, and then the craving for chocolate begins! How do you control it? I usually satisfy my craving with a piece of dark chocolate (if I'm lucky).

Anyways, classic chocolate chip cookies are my absolute favorite dessert and biggest weakness. I'm always looking for a recipe that will not disappoint. I followed this recipe (cut everything in half), and they were so delicious that I had to give them all away so I wouldn't eat them. They are my new go-to recipe for my favorite cookie. Enjoy!

Spinning like a girl in a brand new dress

LOFT Dress, Madewell Blazer, Anthropologie Necklace, Coach Wedges, Rebecca Minkoff Clutch

Fit and flare dresses are one of my top Spring trends followed by black and white. This printed number has been my go-to dress since purchasing it at LOFT in New York. Every time I walked past a LOFT store in the City, I stared at this dress in the window and commented on it saying, "I need to try that on!" Well, I did and it fit and flared in the right places! Oh, I love a good find— especially a flirty dress.

Weekend Wrap up

I've been so into March Madness this week. Although my bracket is far from great, I spent most of the weekend at the local bar watching the games and cheering on Florida Gulf Coast University. I attend graduate school at FGCU, and I love an underdog! These games have been intense and so entertaining to watch over some beers hard cider.

I also attended an Anastasia eyebrow event at Nordstrom on Saturday. I'm obsessed with eyebrows and have a slight addiction with getting mine waxed. To my defense, mine grow pretty fast, and I have dark, thick hair. I must admit, the event was slightly disappointing and ended up being more of a sales event than an actual technique class. Bummer!

I hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable weekend. Happy Monday!

Patterned Pants

Free People Pants + Necklace, Below the Belt Fringe Bag, Forever 21 Tee. Bracelets: Chan Luu + Tai

I'm having a love affair with these pants. No, but seriously.  I want to say obsessed, but that would be a complete understatement. I picked these fun little pants up in New York City and have worn them twice in one week. I would probably wear them again today, but they are hiding at the cleaners anxiously awaiting my pick-up. I feel like I'm talking about these pants like they're my babies— how pathetic! Anyways, I'm buying another pair of them in green, even though my boyfriend calls them my "MC Hammer" pants, and I will rock them on every date he brings me on.

Weekend Wrap up

I had such a low-key weekend that was filled with lots of unplanned hours and casual dinners. I have a hectic week coming up that will consist of endless amounts of homework, exams, and presentations, so a relaxed weekend was absolutely needed for my sanity. I even spent St. Patrick's Day by the pool and the night was spent watching Revenge and eating pasta. No corned beef and cabbage for this girl. Did you celebrate the holiday?

Snow Day!

During our trip to New York, we were thrown a little snow storm. I don't miss the snow at all. I spent the majority of my life digging my car out of the driveway, ruining my favorite boots, and shoveling walkways to and from the house. The only positive of snow? No school of course! Luckily for us, this little storm was one of those perfect snow storms where it's a few inches of pretty, white fluff and then melts the next day due to the warmer temperatures. You know? I can only handle so much snow and snow fights. Here are a few photos from our snow day!

New York Adventures

New York never disappoints. I feel like I appreciate the City more after moving farther away from it. I find myself missing the energy, bright lights, and, of course, the street style. I have been traveling there so often to get this little "fix" and I always leave sad. Again, it never disappoints.

My boyfriend and I spent the week in New York City and had so much fun trying out new restaurants and exploring the streets. That's what's great about it; there are always new things to see. I took him to some of my favorite spots, which included, Chelsea Market, walking the High Line, seeing family on the Upper West Side, SoHo, and I needed a little shopping time on 5th. We had such a great time.

We ate delicious grilled cheeses at Chelsea Market and stocked up on local brews, viewed all of the Meatpacking District from high up, and ventured around SoHo to find Chobani SoHo. That place is too cute, if you're a greek yogurt lover like us. We also tried a new breakfast spot, Penelope, which was amazing. I've been dreaming of that Penny Egg Sandwich since I left. I could go for one of those right now.

Until next time, New York.
