"Women who wear black lead colorful lives."

My love for mb art studios grows stronger with each new plate that I purchase. I started this obsession with a Mother's Day gift last year and continue to find little reasons to keep on ordering. I'm always looking for sentimental gifts for my girlfriends, and you can't go wrong with a handmade, dainty dish, with pretty words, that can be used to display pretty jewels.
If you haven't yet, you must check out this Etsy Shop!

Where do I begin? Fall fashion gets me so excited, but then I remember that I live in the South, and a lot of the pieces I'm lusting over are not weather appropriate. When I remember that, I go from excited to sad. Boy do I miss the Fall.
I could not be more happy that leather is back and bigger than ever. I've been grabbing everything with leather details and have scored some great detailed tees from Banana Republic. Don't let your leather addiction rob your bank account!
Baseball jackets are so cool. I used to rock one throughout high school for my varsity swim team. Not for fashion — at all, but I do love them! I opted for a slightly discrete silk navy and black jacket by Equipment.
Mixing navy and black should never be unfashionable. The key is to make sure it's known that you are aware of the clash of colors. If you are a little apprehensive about the color mixture, try it in an accessory first!

I have to apologize for my lack of blogging. The real world has taken over my life and blogging was, unfortunately, pushed to the side. But, I'm back and just in time for my favorite time of year– Fall fashion!
I can't get enough of the catalogs and magazines with the new styles for Fall. I'm currently loving the mix of navy and black, leather details (on just about everything), flared skirts, baseball jackets, and, of course, lace. As for colors, black, white, navy, dark green, and maroon are on my radar.
Here is some inspiration. Don't forget to follow my pins.

|Anthropologie Dress + Wedges, Sequin Cuff c/o, Calypso Bag|
This dress is the perfect blend of style and comfort. Its effortless material and free flowing spirit is easy to wear and doesn't require much fuss. I kept my accessories simple (for once) and just rocked an oversized clutch and fringe bag.
Also, I apologize for my lack of blogging this week. I'm starting a new job, which requires trainings, meetings, planning, and decorating. As a new teacher, I'm a tad overwhelmed. Bare with me. There are more outfits to come!

|Zara Top (Similar) + Clutch (Similar), Rebecca Taylor Skirt, ZeroUV Sunglasses, Kate Spade Ring, Anthropologie Wedges|
I wish that when I bought this skirt, I could have foreseen how much I would wear it. I would have bought it in black too. I'm not one to buy pieces in multiple colors, but this skirt is so easy to style ( I wear it with blouses, sweaters and with bare legs or tights); it's so versatile. The black seems to be out of stock, but I'm still on the lookout for it.
Also, I've been dying for a piece with these "prison" looking stripes. I think an oversized blouse is the best way to wear this trend and can't wait to try it with simple black jeans for a more casual look.

A good tunic is key in my wardrobe. I pair mine with my favorite skinny leg black pants last seen here. As a teacher, it tends to be easier to play around with colorful or patterned tunics rather than shorter dresses. During the day, I'm constantly moving, and sitting at all levels, which can be difficult in dresses. Besides being work appropriate, they are so easy to take from work to a night out. Throw on some edgier accessories and you're good to go! I love buying pieces that are versatile for work and for play. Here are some of my favorites!
P.S.— Don't forget to check out my interview on Eve's Addiction blog! Their site is filled with gorgeous jewels at very reasonable prices. Enjoy!

I could literally sit on Pinterest for hours looking at fashionistas for style inspiration. When the weather changes, or when I go back and forth from Connecticut to Florida, I'm always in need of some serious outfit revamp.
I'm a maxi addict, and we all probably know this by now. I love this black pleated number dressed down with fun, oversized necklaces, and a slouchy blouse.
I love this simple LBD, mix of colors, and messy hair. Oh, and how amazing are these shoes?
I've been living in my boyfriend jeans lately. I love them with a tribal inspired clutch paired with a classic tee.
I love this drop waist, fit and flare dress. A denim jacket is a staple in my wardrobe and pairing it with a glitzy necklace is somewhat unexpected.
All white is pure genius. I love the eyelet detail, belted waist, and oversized cardigan. I also need to learn how to do this hairstyle.*Photos via Pinterest

Dainty gold rings have been catching my eye, for obvious reasons, and it seems like when I wander around stores, I end up walking out with a new, tiny ring. I especially love the bows, hearts, and teensy diamonds that look perfectly stacked on each finger. Also, when my pinky rings feel slightly big, I stack them on my knuckles for a little edgier look. My favorite ring shops are Catbird, House of Harlow, and Etsy.
Guys, are you listening? These are the perfect little gifts for your lady.
