Since returning from Italy I have been obsessed with wearing neutrals, like this dress. Italy was very casual and the Italian women dressed simple, yet elegant. Most of their daily outfits consisted of lust-worthy white dresses (mostly in linen), light jewelry, and simple makeup— they truly embraced their natural beauty. I love how the women made casual dressing fabulous and chic, and I'm hoping to emulate that in my own wardrobe. 

Weekend Wrap Up

I am back in Florida after my European getaway and it has been so nice to have a little break from school, and be able to relax in the sunshine state. My weekend was filled with getting organized, much needed gym sessions (after being in Italy where I did lots of carb overloading), and on Saturday I celebrated with my boyfriend at his grandmother's 90th birthday party! Overall it's been a pretty low-key weekend, but great to have some time off before my master's program starts up again. 

Boho Beach Style

Nothing excites me more than a perfect beach day. I love throwing on this casual dress for a low-key day spent by the water. The boho print, uneven hemline, and wide shape makes it perfectly suitable for a hot summer day. Don't forget your sun hat!

Positano

My last stop on my Italian getaway was Positano, which is the first village of the Amalfi Coast. I've always heard such wonderful things about both Positano and Capri, and they definitely lived up to the hype. Postiano is magical! One store my mom and I walked into had an elderly Italian women at the counter sewing these beautiful white dresses (I just had to pick one up!), which is exactly what I envision when I think about the small villages of Italy. Unfortunately, I am headed back to the states today, but I will return to Italy soon!

Capri

Yesterday I spent the day on Capri and was completely blown away by the place. I imagined Capri to be a small island that was casual and beachy, but boy was I wrong! The shopping, restaurants, and hotels arevery high-end, and I left Capri realizing that wearing my bathing-suit and cover-up was probably the worst idea. We did such amazing things while we were there! We took a chair lift to the highest point in AnaCapri. I didn’t realize how high the chair lift would go, and it completely confirmed my fear of heights. My fear was completely worth it, because the view was breathtaking, and looked too perfect to be true. I wish I could have stayed longer, but I promised myself to stay at least one night on my next visit, to be sure to experience all of the beautiful island.

Weekend Wrap Up

I left Norway on Friday and flew to Italy's Amalfi Coast. Norway was fun, but nothing beats Italy. I have been eating way too much pasta and pizza, and can't get enough of the Italian culture. My mother is Italian and absolutely loves being here, as it allows her to relate and reminisce about different cultural traditions from her childhood. On Saturday, we traveled to Pompeii and walked around the ruins. Today we are off to Capri to explore and experience the Blue Grato. I am so excited to see more, and I don't want to leave!

Fjords

Yesterday we took a boat ride around the Fjords in Norway. I didn't know what to expect, but it truly was magical. Each view seemed like it could be out of a picture in a book— it was really cool! While my mom and I stayed on the boat, my dad opted to climb pulpit rock and was able to dangle his feet 2,000 feet above the water (that is definitely not for me!). I was afraid I wouldn't feel the same effect of the breathtaking landscape in the boat as he did hiking, but I was completely wrong. I felt like I was part of the Fjords, and it turned out to be an even better trip than I could have imagined. Have you had a chance to visit the Fjords?

It was a beautiful day in Stavanger, Norway and the sun continued to shine throughout the night. Interestingly enough, it stays light out even at night in Norway. We took a boat to dinner, which ended up being a beautiful atmosphere. We started the night with a tour around an island, which was surrounded by beautiful gardens and waterfalls, and ended the night eating a fabulous dinner in a log cabin.
