I found this blush colored maxi on sale at Nordstrom awhile ago and it has been one of the most versatile pieces in my closet. I have worn it with light sleeveless tops for a more casual look, and have even dressed it up with lace, like this! While wearing this outfit, I must admit I wished I had a black head scarf and think it would have went well with the lace top— maybe I will add head scarves to my list of items to buy for Spring!

Spring Shopping

My friend Macey told me she made a list of her must-have items to buy for Spring. I thought this was a great idea to make sure that you only purchase the pieces that you know you really want and will get a lot of use out of, as opposed to splurging on impluse buys and clothes that will not be as versatile. An orange blazer was at the top of my list for Spring (along with a silk floral jacket and wood heels). I found this great blazer at Madewell- it seems like it was tailored just for me and is perfect paired with flirty dresses for a more polished look, or my favorite pair of black jeans. Weekend Wrap Up

Now that I live in Florida it has stopped feeling so much like a vacation and I tend to forget how lucky I am. When my family first started vacationing down here, we were always outside, enjoying the pool, boat, and of course the weather! Now that graduate school has taken over my life I sometimes forget just how beautiful this place is. This weekend we started taking full advantage of the hot nights by moving our dinners outside and even walking on the beach at night. Here are a few instagram photos!

Now is the time when everyone starts to plan little weekend getaways or Spring Break with your best friends. Looking cute and fashionable on the beach can be challenging but L*Space bathing suits definitely makes it easy. They have so many varieties that allow you to look sporty one day, with a classic top for jet skiing or  game of beach volleyball, and fashionable the next with a fringed top.  It's so fun to play with color and patterns, as there really aren’t bathing suits rules (as long as they fit correctly!).  Also, they may look slinky at first, but they aren’t— even bustier girls can rock them! Obsession Of The Week

I am always the girl who no matter the time of night, has to do my nightly skin regimen— remove my makeup, wash my face, moisturize, and apply face creams. I'm embarrassed to say that Saturday night I fell asleep without removing my makeup. This Guinot Exfoliating Cream saves my face every time. I use it about twice a week (depending on your skin type) and it’s like apologizing to your skin after a night out! I am not one to dress for holidays and was always the girl in college who dreaded Halloween. This St. Patrick's day I was leaning towards wearing black (my go-to color for a night out) and I decided to switch it up with lime green. This outfit was festive yet fashionable and I will wear this gorgeous dress as often as I can!  I was probably a shade off from all the other party goers in their darker, seemingly more legitimate green colors, but I had to honor my Irish side! How did you celebrate?

Weekend Wrap Up

I hope everyone had fun celebrating St. Patrick's Day and stayed safe! My weekend was spent finishing up some last minute homework assignments, visiting with my grandparents, and spending some quality time with my good friend who was visiting from Ohio. Sundays are my favorite days because they are so peaceful and relaxing and this Sunday was nothing short of that. I spent it sitting poolside enjoying the company of my family. I've gotten into the habit, thanks to my mom, of walking into stores and not wanting to try anything on. This skirt was one of those moments. I knew I loved this pastel floral skirt and decided it would be totally appropriate to try it on over a maxi dress— in the middle of the store! Talk about lazy, right? Everything worked out though— I got home, tried on the skirt again, and loved it. Sometimes it's easier and less stressful to try on clothes in the comfort of your own home and then return them if you are not satisfied. Don't you think?

Obsession Of The Week

Because of my natural curls I am always trying out the latest products to use before blow-drying my hair. I love all of the Kerastase products and I am obsessed with their shampoo and conditioner— you cannot beat the smell. I do not use a lot of products before blow-drying my hair, but I love putting Kerastase Elixir Ultime Nourishing Oil on my damp hair. My hair comes out smooth, shiny, and soft!

I've been searching for a simple pleated skirt for a while now and finally found the perfect one! I have never owned a starch white skirt and I can't resist the black detail. Another thing that’s great about this skirt is how versatile it is. I can wear it with colored sweaters and blazers or silky blouses. Who doesn't love a great black and white outfit?

I love adding pops of colors to my outfits to spice them up and add some creativity. I am not really into body-hugging pieces, but this skirt is an exception. I love the pop of neon in the skirt and offset it by wearing it with neutrals. I am still getting used to the fit of the skirt, but I did love wearing it!

I had a great weekend and week. I had family in town visiting from North Carolina and we had so much fun together! We spent most of the week by the pool, attending multiple happy hours, and returning to our favorite dinner spots. I'm pretty sure my younger cousin is leaving Florida with more friends in one week than I have made in 6 months- I wish I was kidding. I also tried a paddle board fitness class this weekend on the lake. Doing a burpee on a board was so hard! I love trying new fitness classes. How did you spend your weekend?
