Blending In

Madewell Skirt and Vest, Sam Edelman Sandals, Dannijo Earrings, House Of Harlow 1960 Necklace, J.Crew Link Bracelet and Red Studded Bracelet, Alex and Ani Gold Bracelet, Hermes 'H' Bracelet.

When I was younger I was not the smartest shopper— I would splurge on dresses that I wouldn’t get a lot of wear out of. As I've gotten older, I have found that less is more. I buy pieces that I know will get a lot of use and that I can mix and match with other items that are already in my closet. This skirt is no exception. I have posted about it one other time (here) but that is not a realistic reflection of how frequently I wear it. It's one of those skirts that if I'm in a rush to be somewhere I can put it on without thought or hesitation. I've definitely gotten my money’s worth!

  1. I love your skirt and I feel the same way about shopping as you do now. When I was younger, I definitely made a lot of shopping mistakes and now realize less is more. It took me until my late 20's to figure that out! LOL! I am such a fan of denim vests right now, and love your whole outfit. It looks so comfy and chic! xx

  10. I really like your outfit :) it's quite wearable which I adore. I agree with you with shopping wise, in which I just passed the stage in making lots of shopping mistakes. When I was young, I actually save up my allowance and all, because I didn't feel the need to purchase anything. Last 2 years, I have been obsessing over high-end brands for bags, which did a lot of damage to my bank account. Now I feel like it's time to stop, because I am still young and I don't have a career yet. Thanks for sharing your shopping experience :)!
