When I bought this orange skirt I envisioned pairing it with a hot pink, loose-fitting tank, but when I paired it with lime green stripes I just couldn't resist the bright combination of colors. It's always fun to pair different colors, patterns, and textures in an outfit to personalize it and showcase your style. For me, this often means wearing loud colors in a girly, sophisticated way. There is something about a so-called "odd" combination that instantly makes you feel "cool" and gives you the right amount of confidence.

|Display at Saks Fifth Ave in Naples, FL|
I always get inspired by the most random encounters. While walking around Saks, I saw the most perfect display of colorful vintage glass bottles. I left Saks feeling inspired by the display and wanted to replicate it in my own way. I bought three glass bottles from West Elm to start my own collection. What do you think?

As you may know, I have this crazy obsession with city markets. My friend, Macey, thinks it's a tad strange and annoying that I need to stop in every market I pass on the streets, but its totally not, right? For my birthday, Macey bought me the most perfect book that I am obsessed with reading. It talks all about the markets in NYC and it's a perfect coffee table book. I think coffee table books are a great accessory and a subtle way to personalize a room. This was the perfect gift for me but it may be bittersweet for Macey because we have a lot of markets to check out, and I'm in Florida now- what a great incentive to take a visit to the city!

If I could wear leather everyday I probably would. Every girl needs a piece of leather in her closet, whether it be a jacket, skirt, or my favorite, an all leather dress. Last fall I got an amazing tiered leather skirt by DVF, and I wore it all the time, pairing it with satin, or even cotton to make it more casual. I can’t wait to add even more leather pieces to my wardrobe this fall. Leather is expensive, but there are cheaper options that you must consider! Here are some of my favorite pieces.

|Rebecca Taylor Dress, Stuart Wietzman Wedges|
I cannot believe that people would still follow the "No white after Labor day" rule. How old school could you be? Throw out your fashion "rules" and dress according to the weather and your body type— those are the only two rules you should ever obey. Also, winter whites are probably one of my favorite things! Pairing a white or ivory dress with black tights is a great wintertime look that stands out. On Saturday, I opted to wear an all white eyelet dress with wedges because it was ridiculously hot out. Just because the fashions are changing in the stores does not mean that you have to start wearing them now!

I have been borderline obsessing over fun, decorative lanterns. We have a few set up by our hot tub outside with big, white candles placed inside. They look especially beautiful and festive at night. When stopping at Anthropologie on Friday I found the most perfect colored lantern for my room— and it was on sale. BINGO!
